Off Record
There was a week in 2025 when you couldn’t open the internet without seeing someone’s dog rendered as a Studio Ghibli character. Naturally, I participated. Extensively. But somewhere in that rabbit hole, I started wondering what image generation could do with all the random thoughts I usually let disappear. What if the mundane, funny, and occasionally unhinged things in my head could become little artifacts worth keeping?
That idea became Off Record, a visual journaling app that turns thought dumps into funny, collectible artifacts you can keep and look back on. I designed and built the first version, partnering with a friend at AFK Studio to bring it to life. The best part was putting it in the hands of friends and family and watching something that started as a weird little experiment become part of other people’s lives.
